| About Meridian Galleries Meridian Galleries in historic downtown Nantucket features some of the finest landscape and coastal painters of the Northeast and along the "Meridian line" extending from Maine to Florida. Many are well know locally but most have achieved national acclaim and are sought after by private collectors and corporations. We specialize in Nantucket and marine themed artwork and primarily paintings -- but artwork shown at the gallery often includes 19th and 20th Century artists whose media includes mostly oils, watercolor and pastels. We started with the single goal of providing our clientele with fine marine and impressionistic paintings of Nantucket and nearby coastal locations known for their beauty, historical importance and maritime traditions. Our Nantucket Gallery is housed in a brand new gallery space along Washington Street's emerging "antiques row" and is located across from the Commercial Wharf and Aquarium -- and has water views of the harbor. It's convenient to the Artist's Association building, Rafael Osona Auctioneers, various antiques shops and numerous restaurants. The gallery represents a diverse group of established artists both young and old. Because of the seasonal aspects of Nantucket, we offer "themed shows" during the summer months to appeal to the island's residents, travelers and private collectors.
